This page outlines our product development plans for Eaternity Forecast. Features are grouped by status, and timelines for planned items are subject to change based on customer feedback and technical priorities.

Orbisk Integration​

Description: Integration with Orbisk visual food waste tracking system

Orbisk Overview:

  • Camera-based food waste measurement
  • Automatic portion and waste recognition
  • Real-time waste tracking at plate and prep level

Integration Benefits:

  • Actual waste measurement vs estimated from over-preparation
  • Plate waste insights (guests leaving food on plates)
  • Prep waste tracking (spoilage, over-portioning)
  • Feedback loop for portion size optimization

Planned Features:

  1. Automatic Waste Data Import:

    • Orbisk waste data flows to Forecast
    • Item-level waste quantities tracked
    • Waste categorized by type (plate, prep, spoilage)

  2. Enhanced Prediction Accuracy:

    • Model learns from actual waste patterns
    • Adjust predictions to minimize waste type causing problems

  3. Waste Reduction Dashboard:

    • Combined Forecast predictions + Orbisk measurements
    • Identify systematic over-preparation patterns

Attention Visualization​

Description: Explain what the neural network focuses on for predictions

Purpose: Make AI decisions more transparent and understandable

Features:

  1. Historical Day Highlighting:

    • Show which previous days model pays most attention to
    • Example: "For this Wednesday, model focused on last 4 Wednesdays"

  2. Factor Importance:

    • Display which factors drive each prediction
    • Example: "Temperature (45%), Day of week (30%), Recent trend (25%)"

  3. Pattern Explanation:

    • Natural language explanation of prediction logic

Multi-Location POS System Integration​

Description: Support for restaurant chains with centralized POS systems

Recipe-Based Ingredient Forecasting​

Description: Predict ingredient requirements directly, not just dish quantities

How It Works:

  1. Recipe Integration:

    • Import recipes from Necta or manual entry
    • Map dishes to ingredient lists
    • Track ingredient quantities per portion

  2. Ingredient-Level Predictions:

    • Predict demand for each ingredient
    • Account for multiple dishes using same ingredient
    • Optimize bulk ordering quantities

  3. Supplier Order Automation:

    • Generate suggested purchase orders
    • Minimize ingredient waste (not just prepared food)
    • Account for ingredient shelf life

Mobile Application​

Description: Native iOS and Android apps for on-the-go access

Features:

  1. Quick Daily Review:

    • Morning notification with today's forecast
    • One-tap accuracy review for yesterday
    • Swipe to see weekly outlook

  2. Override on Mobile:

    • Quick override for special events
    • Voice note for variance explanations

  3. Kitchen Floor Use:

  4. Offline Mode:

Slack and Teams Integration​

Description: Forecast notifications in team communication tools

Slack Features:

  • Quick commands: /forecast tomorrow, /forecast accuracy
  • Interactive buttons for overrides

Microsoft Teams Features:

  • Bot for forecast queries

Causal Inference Engine​

Description: Answer "what-if" questions about menu changes

Capabilities:

  1. Menu Change Simulation:

    • "If we remove Caesar Salad, what happens to related items?"
    • "If we price Pasta at €16 instead of €14.50, expected volume?"

  2. Promotion Impact Prediction:

    • "What if we run 20% off promotion on Grilled Salmon?"

How to Request Features​

Customers:

  2. Submit idea with description and use case
  3. Vote on other customers' requests
  4. Track status of your request

Prioritization Criteria​

We prioritize features based on:

  5. Data availability (requirements for implementation)
